Current Skin Care Necessities/Routine

Ah, skincare. Everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to products, so it is a little hard to recommend a specific routine. My skin type is definitely oily, I have big pores, and while I wouldn’t say acne prone, I do breakout a lot when my skin is stressing. This is basically what has been keeping my skin nice and healthy these days!

My morning routine is pretty simple but pretty much I just like my skin to feel awake and fresh.

Clean&Clear Morning Burst Brightening Facial Cleanser: Okay so I totally DON’T like the orange morning burst, but this brightening one is so great! I picked it up just recently and I really do love it. It’s oil-free, but it also doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight after I use it. Just very fresh and awake. Which is important, given that I am barely awake when I use it. I also really love the scent!

Kueshi Pure&Clean Toner: This. Toner. Is it possible to be this in love with something you slap on your face? Not sure. Not only does this straight up smell like cotton candy, but I can literally see my face brighten up immediately after applying. Once again, this product is not oily at all but also doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. Are we seeing a pattern? I got this in a Glossy Box and I don’t even think this is sold in the states (if it is, help a sister out and send her the link), but once I run out of this the world might just end. I put a small amount in my hands and then pat onto my face, so I don’t waste any of this precious product on a cotton-pad.

Proactiv Green Tea Moisturizer: I don’t have as many amazing things to say about this product. However I do like it. The best thing about this is that it sits very well underneath makeup. It’s so light weight that once it dries, you don’t feel it at all. It does take a while to dry though, and it’;s very thin so it’s easy to over apply. But hey- it works!

Baby Oil: I strictly use baby oil as a makeup remover, because it’s gentle on eyes and alcohol free. Plus it’s basically a moisturizer in itself. I do occasionally reach for a makeup wipe, but I don’t even include that in my routine because I really leave them for cleaning up makeup mess ups.

Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash: I know, another proactiv product. Somehow I swear by these two products, yet I do not like anything else they sell. This is my holy grail exfoliant. The smell is great and it really scrubs and cleans out your pores without being harsh and too gritty.

Temple Spa Peace Be Still: This is absolute heaven in a bottle. Like who invented this, because I need to personally send a thank you note. Remember when I said earlier that my skin breaks out when it’s stressed(aka when I am stressed)? Well this little product helps that so much. The aromatherapy in it is just so calming and happy feeling, it’s the perfect thing to put on your face before bed. Plus, it’s an awesome moisturizer and can be used all over your body.

Nuxe Mask Creme Fraiche de Beaute: I only use this about once a week but it is such an amazing mask. Unfortunately, I also received this in a Glossy Box, and there is NO way I am purchasing a $30 face mask. I will probably cry literal tears when this is gone. My favorite part about this mask is that you don’t have to wash it away. You leave it on your face for ten minutes, and then just rub the access in. In the morning, my skin is noticeably plumper.

Perfect Pink Lip Combos for Spring!

Pink lips are an obvious choice for spring. After the smoky lids and dark lips from winter, a pink lip is the perfect way to transition into the warmer, brighter months. Now there are SO MANY pink lip combos to choose from, and all of them suit different skin tones, occasions, and outfits in there own special way. Instead of venturing into the vast world of playful lipsticks head on, I paired it down to my four favorite combos during the spring.

The subtle (yet still oh-so trendy) ombre:

Oh the ombre. The trend that started with hair has now worked it’s way to lips, and I must say, I jumped on this bandwagon full force. Tarte Lipsurgence in Glee with a subtle application of Too Faced Melted Peony in the center is just so fun!

The barely there glossy look:

This is so perfect for a throw on and go type look! I love to wear this to school or work to give my face a fresher feel. Bite Cosmetics Fig (which I bought in the duo ended sample size, then proceeded to break the other end in a day), paired with Urban Decay Naked gloss in Sesso.

Barbie Pink:

Paired with a sundress and a fresh tan, Nyx Stella and Maybelline Elixir in Hibiscus Haven are a match made in heaven! This is super bright though, so beware.

Nearly Nude (but still definitely pink):

This combo is basically just a pinky nude, but I know some ladies would rather not have a neon pout so I thought I’d throw in this super simple and adorable duo as well. Plus, I literally live in Colour Pop’s Lumiere lippy pencil. I put Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Buenos Aires over top to make it a little bit brighter.
